The Dance with Jesus

A poem I wrote in adoration today…as I allowed the Lord to love me.

As I walk into the chapel across the floor,

the boards creak as I kneel to adore.

On the pradue, I fix my gaze intimately with you,

the Lord of Lords as I rest to be made anew.

All of a sudden, the dance begins.

I close my eyes as He whispers come near to me once again.

I take deep breaths to allow myself rest,

as I lay my head down on his firm strong chest.

The dance is a count to the beat of His heart.

I breathe in my identity as we are near to start.

Suddenly the shame and the grief begins to melt,

Rest in my love, His Sacred Heart, I am dealt.

The Lord begins to dance with my head on His heart,

tenderly nurturing my brokenness right from the start.

Distraction occurs a question I ask, where do I go from here,

quietly shushing me sweet child as His mercy pours over me, casting out all fear.

The innocent child flashes across my dark day,

but she is known and loved and never to go away.

You are my princess; you are my love.

A daughter I wanted sent straight from Heaven above.

The dance with Jesus may never end.

Each day He invites me when shall we begin.

Mother Mary watches from afar, but so closely with admiration in her eyes,

for she found me crying as we said our goodbyes.

Mother, oh mother, you knew how much I needed your Son.

As I searched and searched for healing and found none.

Mother oh mother, your immaculate heart,

you knew I needed Jesus right from the start.

Restoration and healing I found in your strong embrace,

as the blood and water rushed over me as I looked upon your face.

Your whispers captivated me as you spoke those mighty words.

Never forsaken, I have given you a flock of birds.

I am the way, the truth, and the light.

"I Thirst" on the Cross and had you in my sight.

As I took my last breath, my daughter with you I will remain,

forever connected in the Eucharist, you will always find my name.

I am the body, blood, soul, and divinity, the dearly beloved Son,

of our beloved God the Father in atonement for your sins and those of the whole world, forever we are one.

As the Lord disappeared from my gaze behind my closed eyes,

I knew when I opened them; He would be right at my side.

A golden halo as bright as the sun, our eyes connected as we became one.

I am with you today and always will remain, in the Eucharist here with you forever, I will reign.
