This group is for all parents of loss.
What’s included?
Finding the Passion of Christ in Our Story was designed by Red Bird Ministries to help parents of loss connect with and find support from other grieving parents, while learning to allow Jesus to help them carry the extraordinary cross of child loss. We hope you will prayerfully consider this opportunity to find accompaniment on your journey.
Session dates: Tuesdays from September 29th to December 1st from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm CT.

Facilitated by experienced, professional grief leaders.

You will connect with other parents of loss while exploring your grief through the lens of the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Stay connected with other families of loss who are also taking The School of Grief small group course.
Be reassured that the families that will be walking together have all experienced the same age of loss, circumstance, or are currently in the same season of loss.

After you register, you will receive a link to purchase the $25 journal through Red Bird Ministries.

This is a closed grief group limited to 11 participants/couples. While it is okay to miss 1-2 sessions, our group is only as strong as the active participation and attendance of its members, so we encourage you to only register if you are planning to attend most of the sessions.
While no one will be compelled to speak or share, you must be able to log on from a safe, private space with your camera on.

You may schedule a comfort call, spiritual direction, or request a referral to a counselor at any time for no additional cost. Red Bird Ministries does not provided one on one counseling.

Elizabeth Leon, Director of Family Support
Elizabeth Leon is the Director of Family Support for Red Bird Ministries. She and her husband Ralph are from Ashburn, Virginia and have ten children between them - five of hers, four of his, and their son, John Paul Raphael who died on January 5, 2018. His short and shining life was a sacred experience that transformed her heart and left a message of love for the world: let yourself be loved. She writes about finding the Lord in the darkness of grief in her book Let Yourself Be Loved: Big Lessons from a Little Life, available wherever books are sold.
