Spring 2026 Cohort with Sr. Kathryn Maney and Tom Korta

Remember: A Sacred Space for Those Carrying Suicide Loss

Spring 2026 Cohort

Remember is a guided, peer-based journey for families and individuals grieving the death of a loved one to suicide. This cohort offers a prayerful, safe, and confidential space to be held in compassion, to name the pain that often feels unspeakable, and to gently encounter hope again—without pressure, platitudes, or timelines.

The Spring 2026 cohort, led by Sr. Kathryn Maney and Tom Korta, will walk together from Monday, February 16, 2026, through Monday, May 11, 2026. Participants will gather weekly in a small-group setting rooted in Catholic faith, trauma-informed care, and the deep understanding that suicide loss carries a unique and often isolating grief.

This journey is not about fixing what cannot be fixed. It is about being remembered, accompanied, and slowly restored—heart, mind, and soul—within a community that understands.

If you are carrying suicide loss and longing for a place where your story can be held with reverence and care, Remember was created for you.

FAQs

  • To join a “Remember” cohort, you will need to fill out the interest form here. “Remember” leads participants to explore their story of loss deeply, in communion with their peers and the Lord. While this work can be profoundly healing, it is also very intense, and is not suited to every grieving person’s needs. All “Remember” group facilitators are specially trained to be able to discern if “Remember” is the right support option for you.

If a “Remember” leader determines that a virtual group would not be suited to your needs at this time, they will help connect you with alternative grief support that is more beneficial for your unique situation.

  • A group facilitator will send you the link to purchase your participant journal once you are signed up for a group.

  • All “Remember” group facilitators are required to:

    1) Complete the “Remember” program as participants. If a leader currently leads suicide survivor groups, holds a professional degree, or is trauma certified, Red Bird Ministries will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Sr. Kathryn for consideration.

    2) Obtain a letter of recommendation from their pastor.

    3) Complete the “Remember” leader training course, consisting of about 20 hours of self-paced content and a follow-up call with the RBM “Remember” Staff Team.

If you are interested in leading a “Remember” group, you may fill out the interest form here.
