Oakbourne Country Club was established in 1955. Oakbourne hosted the Cajun Classic for 11 years, which was the last tournament stop on the PGA Tour. Some of the past champions are Lionel Hebert, Jay Hebert, Billy Casper, Doug Sanders and Miller Barber. Some past players are Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer & Gary Player.
