Double the Grace of Your Time — Your hours of service can reach even more hearts in need.

One Act of Service, Two Kinds of Impact

VOLUNTEER MATCHING

When you offer your time in service, you become a source of hope for grieving families. Through employer volunteer matching, that same act of love can bless even more hearts in need. Many companies donate financially for every hour you volunteer—turning your gift of presence into multiplied support for the mission of Red Bird Ministries.

Now, through volunteer matching, the hours you give can bless even more families. Your service can be multiplied—extending healing, accompaniment, and Christ‑centered care to twice as many hearts in need.

Take the Next Step
Search if your company offers Volunteer Matching.

Find out if your service can go further by checking whether your employer participates in volunteer matching. Most programs can be found through your company’s HR or corporate giving portal.

How It Works

  • 1. Become a volunteer

Offer your time and presence to accompany grieving families through retreats, support gatherings, or behind‑the‑scenes service.

  • 2. Record your hours

Keep track of the time you’ve given and request a quick verification.

  • 3. Submit to your employer

Many companies donate $10–$25 for every hour you volunteer — some even more.

  • 4. Let your service bless twice

Their matching gift strengthens the very ministry you just poured your heart into.

  • Yes. Red Bird welcomes volunteers from every background. Many who serve have not personally experienced loss; what matters most is a heart willing to show up with compassion, humility, and love.

At the same time, those who have experienced loss often feel called—when they are ready—to put their grief into gentle action through hospitality, preparing meals, writing notes, or accompanying families with the understanding that comes from lived experience.

Every “yes,” no matter your story, makes room for healing.

  • Some roles—especially leadership or accompaniment roles—include formation and training to ensure volunteers feel supported and prepared.
